Good morning everyone,
Matthew 9:22 tells us that there was a woman who had been hemorrhaging for twelve years with little or no hope in sight. That is until Jesus came by her and because of her faith, she believed she could be healed by just touching His robe. Wow!! Jesus turned around and said to her, "Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well." And the woman was healed at that moment. When you feel like giving up, who do you turn to? Is your faith strong enough to get you through those times of doubt that we all go through? Sometimes we have to take our eyes off of our self to see what someone else is going through for you to realize your dilemma is not that bad! Does the Lord have to hit you over the head a number of times before He gets your attention? We serve a God that wants our every thought whether they are good are bad so the Holy Spirit can help you decide what to chuck and what you should hold on to! God can change your situation regardless of how long you've had to put up with it! The woman in the verse was considered unclean. For 12 years, she had been considered one of the 'untouchables' and had not been able to lead a normal life. But Jesus changed that and restored her. Sometimes we are tempted to give up on people or situations that have not changed for many years. God can change what seems unchangeable, giving new purpose and hope. That includes you and me!!! If you ever get to that point where you feel no one understands, let me encourage you to cry out to the One who does understand and that is your Lord and Savior! Also, encourage each other because your path just might go across someone else that is ready to give up! Give them what you've already been given!
