Good morning everyone,
Sometimes we forget all that He has promised! Titus 2:11-14 are good verses to read so that we can be reminded and encouraged. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works. If you look up the word zealous, it can be described as: full of, characterized by, or due to zeal; ardently active, devoted, or diligent. I love the words devoted and diligent because that describes our Lord and Savior. He committed to us long before we ever committed to Him. 1 Peter 3:13 says, 'Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good?' He wants us to commit to Him so that we have hope for the present and the future. History is His story lived out and what better way to be part of that history than to be zealous for Him!
Your brother in Christ,
p
