'The Depth of Love'

Hello everyone,
Love can be defined as the ultimate expression of God's loyalty, purity, and mercy extended toward His people--to be reflected in human relationships of brotherly concern, marital fidelity, and adoration of God
God's ultimate form of Love came to each of us as a gift when Jesus Christ endured the cross.  Simply put, there is no greater form of Love than when someone gives their own life so that everyone who ever lives could have life everlasting.
John 3:16 says, 'For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.'  1 John 3:16 says, 'We know what real Love is because Christ gave up His life for us.  And so we ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters.'  John wrote both of these scriptures and he realized that Christ and Love are synonymous; that all of us should live accordingly.  In 1 John 4:8, 'Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is Love.'  There are different words for love in the Greek. 'Phileo'-brotherly love, 'Eros'-erotic love, and 'Agape'-the Love of God.  Today the word 'love' is tossed around like a worn out shoe.  It usually is demonstrated through 'emotion' which usually leads to bruised egos but Jesus was the example of showing it through 'action.'  May it be our prayer and mission to check our attitudes in with our Maker and ask Him to give us a heart that Loves like He Loves!!
Your brother in Christ,
Paul
