To be an overcomer! Psalm 118:7

Good morning everyone,
As you go about your day, you may run into folks who seem to want to cause you heartache and pain.  For whatever reason, it seems as though you are a target for their ridicule.  Psalm 118:7 says, 'The Lord is for me among those who help me; therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me.'  Even though it hurts when people throw accusations and ridicule at you, remember that God would prefer you to clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (Colossians 3:13).  Most people expect you to bite back with the same hostility that they show you.  When you can respond like Christ would, it might just be that you have shown them a side that they have never seen.  Remember that many live in this world without any sign of love in their life.  They are constantly on the defence because they have been treated harshly themselves.  If we show love to a world that is dieing, God might have compassion on the lives of the people we run across.  When the opportunity presents itself, ask God to give you the compassion you need to offer to someone so that they receive it as a gift!  When we do something that the world is not familiar with, great things happen!  It could be an opportunity for you to share hope with someone who previously was hopeless.  You may have recently been down yourself, so remember that God uses our weaknesses to reveal His strengths!  Planting seeds is what Christ ask us to do!  He can show them how to overcome just like He showed you!
Your brother in Christ,
p
