What light are you being drawn to? Matt 5:14-16

Good morning everyone,
A light is only as bright as the source from which it comes!  The more the wattage, the brighter the light!  Jesus is the Light of the world and He wants to shine through you so that all will know who He is!!  In Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus says, "You are the light of the world---like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see.  Don't hide your light under a basket!  Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all.  In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father.'  We have access to the best source of light possible so that we can be the beacon that Jesus wants us to be!  Tapping into that source starts with showing others what Christ has done for us.  We hide our light by (1) being quiet when we should speak, (2) going along with the crowd, (3) denying the light, (4) letting sin dim our light, (5) not explaining our light to others, or (6) ignoring the needs of others.  Be a beacon of truth and don't shut your light off from the rest of the world.  1 John 1:5-7 says, 'This is the message He has given us to announce to you:  God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all.  So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in Spiritual darkness.  We are not living in the truth.  But if we are living in the light of God's presence, just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from every sin.'  It all starts by getting plugged into the source!  May God richly Bless you as you spend time in fellowship with Him!
