Good morning everyone,
When I really seek His face, I can not help but be humbled by how much He cares for me! 1 Peter 2:24 says, "He Himself bore our sins" in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by His wounds you have been healed." Isaiah 53:4 says, "Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering." Matthew 8:17 says, This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases." There is no one that will ever compare to the One who gave up His life so that you might have an opportunity to have eternal life with the Father! Think about that for a moment and reflect on how much love is rolled into that statement. He paid the ultimate price so that each of us could have hope. The next time you don't feel good or you have a bad hair day, remember to recall His promises instead of responding by how you feel. His promises are what gives you character and fortitude. The more you spend time with Him, the more His promises will be reflected in who you are! Life is really not that complicated until we make it that way. We throw in problems that get us in trouble and that requires us to ask Him to bail us out. His gift to you is like a franchise because He wants us to duplicate His character! The model has already been made, yet we continually try and find solutions in other ways. Today, ask Him to remind you how much He loves you so that you can thank Him with you whole heart.
Your brother in Christ,
p
