Good morning everyone,
To be alive is something for the most part that we take for granted! That is until we have a close encounter or a near death experience. Sometimes that draws individuals closer to the Creator and sometimes they just go back to their old 'sinful' self! Have you heard that it is really hard for an old dog to learn a new trick? It is the same way with us humans. We are in constant need of repair and without a personal relationship with the Savior, we end up on the short end of the stick! Just because Christians have the Source to keep them on the right road without getting lost doesn't mean that they don't constantly need to update their gps! I believe Psalm 46:1 when it says that God is our ever-present help in trouble. That means that He never leaves us! Ladies and gentlemen, isn't it time that we show Him what it means to be alive? See, to be alive is so much more than just doing the mundane. It is really thanking Him in all aspects of our lives. It is loving folks that are struggling with directions and their gps is taking them on roads that are full of potholes. We need to remember that we once were lost and God still had a place for us to be found. Instead of judging folks for their shortfalls, lets love them like God has shown love to us and let Him do the updating! Luke 15:24 says, 'for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found. And they began to celebrate.' As you start your day, thank Him that you are alive and celebrate so that the whole world will know how He showed you that you are alive!
Your brother in Christ,
p
