An Angel Promises the Birth of Jesus to Mary (Luke 1:26-28) Part 1

Hello everyone,
Over the next couple of days, I would like to focus on the birth of our Lord and Savior breaking down the Scripture, starting in Luke 1:26 and going through 1:28 for today.  In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary.  She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David.  Gabriel appeared to her and said, "Greetings, favored woman!  The Lord is with you!"  Gabriel had important messages from God each time that he appeared to people.  Some 500 years earlier he had appeared to Daniel (Daniel 8:15-17; 9:21), several months earlier to Zechariah and now Mary!  Gabriel delivered words of prophesy to Daniel and revealed miracles to both Zechariah and Mary! Gabriel was an important messenger that God chose to deliver news with 'Eternal' significance!  We have the same opportunity as 'Children of God' to be able to deliver hope to a world that is lost!  Every conversation we have with non believers should be an opportunity to share the 'Living God'!  We were all lost and until Jesus came into our lives, we had no hope!  Doesn't even the worst harden criminal deserve the same Jesus that you have?
Your brother in Christ,
Paul
