Be Still and Know that I am God! Psalm 46:10

Good morning everyone,
Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still (silent-New Living Translation) and know that I am God!  I will be honored by every nation.  I will be honored throughout the world."  War and destruction are inevitable, but so is God's final victory.  At that time, all will stand quietly before the Lord Almighty.  How proper, then, for us to be still now, reverently honoring Him and His power and majesty.  Take time each day to be still and to exalt God.  Most of us have to be doing something in order to feel as though we are accomplishing something.  God doesn't necessarily want us doing something all the time.  He really wants our attention so that He can give us His instructions.  If we are faithful in the 'little stuff' that we do, the more He will trust us to handle the 'big stuff!'  Hebrews 3:14 says, "For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ".  Isn't that exciting?  Remember life is a marathon, not a sprint!  Verse 15 says, But never forget the warning.  "Today you must listen to His voice.  Don't harden your hearts against Him as Israel did when they rebelled."  Remember that His timing is 'perfect timing.'  Psalm 95:7 says, "for He is our God.  We are the people He watches over, the sheep under His care.  Oh, that you would listen to His voice today!"  Romans 15:6 is a good verse for all of us to follow to be obedient to our Creator.  "Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."  Today, choose to honor our Lord by exalting Him in everything that you do!
Your brother in Christ,
p
