Pray Without Ceasing! 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Good evening everyone,
Prayer is the most untapped source of power on the planet.  When we think about 'without ceasing,' we think about nonstop.  Literally that would be impossible to physically pray nonstop.  But what the Scripture is referring to is about relationship!  The New King James version of 1 Thessalonians 5:17 is closer in verbiage to relationship than literally praying nonstop when it says, 'keep on praying.'  To pray without ceasing is to serve the Lord with all your heart and live in a continual state of awareness that God is good and He is with you.  Your ongoing conversation with Him throughout the day is the prayer that He wants, not your wish list!  Mark 1:35 says, 'The next morning Jesus awoke long before daybreak and went out alone into the wilderness to pray.'  Jesus took time to pray.  Finding time to pray is not easy, especially with all the distractions that we face, but prayer is the vital link between us and God.  Like Jesus, we must break away from others to talk with God, even if we have to get up very early in the morning to do it.  Prayer involves growing in intimacy with God.  May God richly bless you as you experience your prayer life becoming a natural routine instead of a last ditch effort crying for help.
Your brother in Christ,
p
