When the rains come, are you ready to weather the storm? Matthew 7:25

Hello everyone,
Do you feel like it is always raining on you?  If so, do you have the 'foundation' that you need in order to weather the storm?  I'm sure a lot of you feel as though one storm is barely over before the next deluge hits!  Matthew 7:25 tells us that the rains came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the Rock!  Is your foundation on the Rock?  There have been times that all of us were ready to throw in the towel and say the words, 'I quit.'  A great verse to help you persevere when you want to give up is Romans
5:2-4 which reads, 'through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.  And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.  Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.  Rain that constantly beats on you has a tendency to wear you down so put on the full armour of God so that you can endure the storm!  1 Thessalonians 1:3 says, 'We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.'  May each of you hold on to that hope even when it doesn't make sense and that endurance will reveal the 'Son' in a way that you've never seen Him before!
Your brother in Christ,
p
