Abundance! Matthew 13:11-13; Matthew 25:29; John 1:16

Good morning everyone,
Do you literally understand the word abundance and how the word is to be applied to you?  Matthew 13:11-13 says, He replied, "You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not.  To those that listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge.  But for those that are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.  This is why I use these parables, For they look but they do not see.  They hear, but they don't really listen or understand."  These verses are very clear that we have been given something very special if we open up our hearts to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.  His word is powerful and it allows each of us to fully understand Him and to know Him!  Is your Bible dusty and dormant (temporarily devoid of external activity)?  Let me encourage you to crack it open and see what God is abundantly ready to offer you!  Matthew 25:29 says, "To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance.  But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away."  Are you investing your talents well?  You may say, 'What little I have if not going to make a difference.'  I beg to differ.  Ask God to show you how and then start using them!  John 1:16 tells us that from His abundance, we have all received one gracious blessing after another.  Start right now acknowledging all that God has done for you and praise His name and see what happens next.  You will be amazed!
Your brother in Christ,
p
